Professor Giuseppe Grandori (1921-2011) was an Emeritus Professor of Politecnico di Milano, Founder of Seismic Engineering in Italy, President of the International Association Earthquake Engineering (IAEE). To celebrate his memory, in the centenary of his birth, Politecnico di Milano, with the collaboration of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department (DICA), is establishing two PhD thesis awards, thanks to the donation of Prof. Elisa Guagenti Grandori.
