POK (Polimi Open Knowledge), launched in June 2014 by the Politecnico di Milano, is the first Italian university MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses) platform offering free online courses open to everybody.

The main goal of the portal is to support students, not only from the Politecnico di Milano, in their university and professional careers: from high school to university, from bachelor to master degree, from university to the workplace. There are also many other courses for teachers, researchers, professionals and citizens.

All you need to do to log in is to have your own account. It is possible to create a Polimi account - a recommended choice because it is the only way to obtain certificates of participation in completed courses - or a POK account. Once you have logged in to the platform, you can enrol in the courses autonomously and take advantage of all the materials, videos, activities and self-assessment tests.  

At the end of the course, if a minimum score is met, a certificate of attendance will be issued (not tied to university credits or to the Politecnico entrance test).
