CLAUSTHAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

The Technische Universität Clausthal (TU Clausthal or TUC) is a technology institute founded in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Lower Saxony, Germany. The small public university is regularly ranked among the best German universities in engineering by CHE University Rankings. In 2011, five of the 30 leading German stock index companies had TUC pupils on their board of directors. Two of them as CEO. It is an internationally renowned institution with strong regional ties. Research and education are currently focused on energy and raw materials, natural sciences and materials sciences, economics, mathematics, computer science, mechanical engineering and process engineering. Joint projects between industry and universities demonstrate the special importance attached to applied research. It is composed of 36 institutes, with technical and scientific topics divided into 3 faculties: Faculty of Natural Sciences and Materials, Faculty of Energy and Management Sciences, Faculty of Mathematics / Informatics and Mechanical Engineering.
