
The Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) is a public research university located in Madrid, and one of the oldest universities in the world, its origins dating back to 1293. The UCM is one of the largest non-distance university in Europe, and is widely regarded as the most prestigious academic institution in Spain. It has two campuses in Madrid, Moncloa and Somosaguas, with some other university premises also located in the centre of Madrid. An incredibly wide offer of degrees is available at bachelor, master and doctoral level, covering all sectors of academic knowledge, such as Arts and Humanities, Science and Engineering, Medicine and Health Sciences. A high variety of cultural and sports activities contribuite to a comprehensive training of the students.
