ENSAAMA SCHOOL OF ART AND DESIGN

PARIS, FRANCE - Partner university code: F PARIS323

The ENSAAMA School of Art and Design - Olivier De Serres is a public institute of artistic and technical education located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. The School is the result of the merger of two schools of solid fame: the School of Applied Arts to Industry, created in 1922, and the School of Crafts, founded in 1941, which occupied the premises of the current Picasso Museum. ENSAAMA has been able to impose its needs and sectors by training professionals able to intervene in the multiple fields of design and artistic professions. The School is part of the Conference of Higher Schools of Applied Arts in Paris which constitutes a collaborative network of four public higher schools of Applied Arts in Paris (Boulle, Duperré, Estienne and Ensaama Schools), whose ambition is to constitute a point of reference in the field of training in the design professions. The history of the four schools cannot be dissociated from the history of the city of Paris, of the decorative arts, of the rise of artistic craftsmanship, conservatories and museums. Consequently, the design training in these schools is based on an education that transcends the tradition of manufacturing, the work of the gesture, the material and technique, whether in the field of fashion, subject or edition.
