Officially founded in 1900 with the creation of the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Grenoble INP Institute of Engineering Univ. Grenoble Alpes is one of the best engineering schools in France and brings together renowned engineering schools close to the industrial world and open to the world. Today it offers 6 engineering schools, including the one that can be accessed by students of the Politecnico di Milano, namely the Grenoble INP - Phelma School: Physics, Electronics, Materials Sciences, 38 laboratories and renowned research and development services among the scientific community and international industrial. Grenoble INP is currently contributing to the Minatec project, one of the largest nanoscience research centers in Europe. Since December 2014, Grenoble Institute of Technology is a member of the Grenoble Alpes University Community. The Grenoble Institute of Technology was also awarded the title of "European University" by the European Commission.
