UACEG UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE, CIVIL ENGINEERING AND GEODESY

The University of PO ARHITEKTURA, STROITELSTVO I GEODEZIA is divided into five departments: the Architecture departments, the Structural Engineering departments, of Hydraulic Engineering, of Transport Engineering and finally that of Geodesy. The Faculty of Architecture, consisting of 8 departments, was founded in 1951. This is the place in Bulgaria where Architecture training is offered to students and architects. About 1000 Bulgarian and foreign students pursue their studies at the Faculty of Architecture. The faculty's academic staff is made up of 30 teachers with academic degree and 50 teachers without academic degree. The disciplines are taught in part by teachers from other faculties of the University. During the courses, a wide range of activities are carried out: investigation and complex planning of regional structure, landscape and urban; design and organization of internal and external spaces; management and organization of construction and manufacture of construction and building elements; institutional and corporate investment policy; investigation and control functions in municipal councils in relation to urban planning e architecture; The students of the Faculty continue the degree course in Structural Engineering which is finally divided into two specializations - Structures and Management and Building Technology. About 1100 Bulgarian and foreign students continue their studies at the Faculty. The faculty's academic staff is made up of 48 professors and associate professors, and 45 adjunct professors and teachers. Some of the subjects are taught by academic staff from the other faculties of the University. Part-time teachers with a rich professional experience in the sector are also involved in the teaching process in the various departments. The Faculty carries out important international activities, including the exchange of students and teaching staff with many European partner universities.
