Founded by the Emperor Charles V in 1531, the University of Granada (UdG) is a large public university located in the historical city of Granada, very close to the Sierra Nevada mauntain and to the Mediterranean coast. The UdG is one of the largest university in Spain and its community has contributed to making Granada into a vivacious and culturally rich city. An international and multicultural university, the UdG receives more incoming international students than any other European institution, and sends more students abroad on Erasmus exchange programmes than any other European university. Strongly committed to investing in innovation and research, the university offers a wide range of programmes at bachelor, master and doctoral level and has campuses spread over the city of Granada as well as in Norhtern Africa.
