Presentation

The Magalhães Network was born after an idea of the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid and a number of internationally known European universities, including the Politecnico di Milano, based on an ever-increasing collaboration between European sites and the Latin American continent,

The network was founded in 2005 to foster academic collaboration between Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean in the fields of engineering and architecture.

Goal of the network is to offer added value to the partner universities, their students and staff in terms of:

  • Effective tools for student mobility
  • Systematic exchange of best practices for internationalization
  • A network of useful relationships to develop joint projects among partner universities

One of the objectives of the network is to promote student mobility between the 2 continents in the area of study mobility and double degrees , particularly at the master's degree level.

Politecnico di Milano currently has active short and/or double degree mobility agreements with 16 members of the network. For more information regarding mobility, students can check the pages dedicated to international mobility.
