Roberto Negrini

Professor emeritus of Politecnico di Milano

He was Full Professor of the scientific disciplinary sector ING-INF/05, which includes courses in the area od Computer Science for Engineering: Electronic computers, Logical networks, Methods and technologies for image processing, Advanced computer architectures, Principles of computer architectures, Computer architecture and operating systems, member of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering. He was a visiting professor at USI (Università della Svizzera Italiana - Lugano) for twenty years, from its foundation until 2016.

Deputy Dean and Dean of the School of Information Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. From 11.1.2002 to 12.31.2010 he was Deputy Vice-Rector of the Politecnico, for the Como Campus. As Vice-Rector he supported the development of teaching and research activities, characterised by a strong internationalising influence that has served as an experiment for the university as a whole. In the period 1996/99 he was director of the Calculation and Networks Centre of the Politecnico di Milano, during the period of birth and rapid expansion of computerisation activities. He has been a member (also as president) of various committees at the Department, Academic Senate and University levels. President of various scientific and technical associations.
