Presentation

GlobalE3 was born in the United States in 1995, established by a group of the world's leading universities that recognized an ever-increasing demand for engineering graduates with international experience

Managed by the Institute of International Education (IIE) in New York, GlobalE3 is a consortium of U.S. and international universities offering engineering students a mobility program that allows them to spend a period of study abroad.

Selected students can spend one semester or the entire academic year at one of GlobalE3's universities, while continuing to pay tuition at their home institution, and credits taken abroad are an integral part of their curriculum.

By participating in the program, students gain the necessary language, intercultural, and professional skills and competencies to excel in their future careers. The importance of this program has been recognized by the National Science Foundation, AT&T Foundation, and the U.S. Department of Education, which provided the initial funding to launch the program.
