TOLC-I

Valid to enrol in Engineering programmmes in Italian language

Academic year 2025/2026

TOLC-I (INGEGNERIA)  is the online engineering test provided by Cisia (Consortium of Inter-University Integrated Access Systems).

With the TOLC-I, you can enrol in our Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) in Engineering in Italian only if the TOLC-I score converted to a TOL score  is at least equivalent to the minimum score required for enrolment.

To convert the TOLC-I score to the TOL score, and see if you can enrol in our Engineering Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) programmes, go to the TOLC-I Score Conversion page.

The TOLC-I also includes an English section (30 questions in 15 minutes). If you have given fewer than 24 correct answers in the English section, you will be enrolled with the OFA additional educational obligations. 

You took a TOLC-I 2024 when you were enrolled in the penultimate year 

You took a TOLC-I from 1 January 2024 to 31 July 2024 when you were enrolled in the penultimate year of high school and earned your diploma in 2025

Remember that you must have taken the TOLC-I by 31 July 2024 and registered it in the Online Services by 11:59 am (CEST) on 7 August 2024.
If you do not register by the deadline it will not be possible to use your alternative test.

You take a TOLC-I 2025 and are enrolled in the final year or have already graduated 

If you took a TOLC-I in the 2025 calendar year and are enrolled in the final year of high school and earn your diploma in 2025 or you have already graduated

Remember that you must have taken the TOLC-I by 13 June 2025 and registered it in the Online Services by 11:59 am (CEST) on 18 June 2025.
If you do not register by the deadline it will not be possible to use your alternative test.

If you are enrolled in the penultimate year of high school in the 2024/2025 school year and take a TOLC-I 2025

Remember that you must have taken the TOLC-I between 1 January 2025 and 18 July 2025 and registered it in the Online Services by 11:59 am (CEST) on 25 July 2025.
If you do not register by the deadline it will not be possible to use your alternative test.

How and when to register the TOLC-I

Remember that you must register that you have a TOLC-I in the Online Services.
If you do not register by the deadline it will not be possible to use your test.

You can proceed from the day following the date you took the TOLC-I and only after the official result is made available on the CISIA website.

-If you took a TOLC-I 2024 by 31 July 2024 when you were enrolled in the penultimate year of high school in the 2023/2024 school year, you must have registered it before 11:59 (CEST) on 7 August 2024.

-If you took a TOLC-I 2025 by 13 June 2025 and are enrolled in the final year of high school in the 2024/2025 school year or you have already graduated, you must register it by 11:59 (CEST) on 18 June 2025.

-If you took a TOLC-I 2025 by 18 July 2025 and are a student enrolled in the penultimate year of high school in the 2024/2025 school year, you must register it by 11:59 (CEST) on 25 July 2025.

Go to the Online Services, select “Three-year and single-cycle degrees: entrance or catch-up tests and enrolment” > Alternative test registration.
TOLC-I scores are shown. Selecting one of the tests shows you the TOLC-I score converted to a TOL score.
You can select the “Confirm and continue” button. Select your preferred Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) programme and confirm.

How to request a programme change

If, during this academic year, you have already enrolled on a study programme at Politecnico, in order to enrol on another programme belonging to a different School for which you are eligible, you must request a programme change, i.e. to transfer your enrolment to the new study programme. Your payment of the first instalment will be considered valid.

To request a programme change:

Go to your Online Services - Test Results and Enrolment and, next to the test date, click on ‘change programme.

If you are an international student, you cannot use the TOLC- I in italian language to enrol in the Engineering degree courses.

You can take the English TOLC-I to access the Civil Engineering degree course delivered in English.
