Director

Francesco Cavazzana

Graduated with honors in Economics at the Bocconi University, he then obtained two master’s degrees from the MIP - Politecnico di Milano in Supply Chain Management and in Management of the University and Research. After experience in the ICT sector, he developed skills in public procurement and facility management services at universities, as head of the Procurement and Purchasing Services and Supplies Office at the Politecnico di Milano and then Director of the Tenders and Procurement Division of the University of Bologna.  Since August 2022 he is the Director of the Supplies & Facility Management Division at the Politecnico di Milano.

Mission of the Division

Guaranteeing livability and sustainability of the University

We are dedicated to managing the spaces of the University guaranteeing its livability, sustainability, safety and cleanliness and manage the supply of services and supplies needed by the administration. We strive to make the spaces of the University places where you can work and study in a comfortable way. We guarantee the management and routine maintenance of the building and plant assets of the University, planning preventive and improvement measures, managing and monitoring the quality of general services outsourced, ensuring the environmental comfort of spaces and waste management. 

We provide services of moving, space management and availability, technical logistical support for the realization of events.  We provide specialized offices dedicated to the management of tenders and purchases of services and supplies, which also offer support to the purchasing activities carried out by the various institutions of the University and to the RUP in all phases of purchase, from programming to execution. We look after the environmental sustainability of the University in collaboration with the Energy Commission, the Energy Manager and the Mobility Manager. We are a reference for the safety of people and things (interventions for attacks, intruders, various damages, theft, etc.) in collaboration with the Law Enforcement.
