Who can take the test

Academic year 2025/2026

To be admitted to the Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) programme in Architectural Design and the single-cycle Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) programme in Building Engineering-Architecture you must sit the ARCHED admission test, in the language in which the programme is delivered.

  • In order to be admitted to the programmes delivered in Italian, you must sit the ARCHED test in Italian.
  • In order to be admitted to the programmes delivered in English, you must sit the ARCHED test in English.

If you wish to compete for both programmes delivered in Italian and programmes delivered in English, you must sit both tests.

If you are an Italian or equivalent student (find out what this means), you can take the ARCHED test in italian and/or in english language if:

  • you have already finished secondary school (ie you have sat the final exams)
  • you are currently in the final year of secondary school and will have taken the final exams by July/August of the school year prior to that of your enrolment at Politecnico di Milano.

Candidates with disabilities or dyslexia who wish to do so, may request specific support when taking the test. You can report this directly during the test registration process.

If you are an international Student (reserved places) (find out what this means), you can only take the admission test if:

  • you have already finished secondary school
  • you will finish secondary school in the school year preceding the year of enrolment at Politecnico di Milano
